Figure out what to do with "moods"
Reported by Martin Atkins | January 10th, 2009 @ 12:21 PM
Lots of services associate moods with actions:
- MySpace has a mood associated with each status update
- LiveJournal has a mood optionally associated with each weblog entry
- GetSatisfaction has a mood associated with each ticket and with each comment.
Since it seems that mood is not specific to a given type, we'll need to decide whether a change in mood is an activity in its own right or whether mood is simply a property of another activity.
Note also that in the MySpace and LiveJournal cases it's given as "current mood", but in the GetSatisfaction case it's "this makes me feel", which is a subtle difference. In the GetSatisfaction case it feels like the mood is more strongly associated with the activity.
