Figure out how to represent people in Atom
Reported by Martin Atkins | January 10th, 2009 @ 12:23 PM | in ActivitySchema Draft 2
There are a number of verbs where the object needs to be a person. For example, "Martin became friends with Bill".
This means we need to figure out how to represent people in Atom.

Google already does something like this in the Contacts GData API. It was suggested to follow a similar approach but use the PortableContacts schema in place of Google's proprietary schema.

As an interim solution, the activity schema spec will simply specify the use of the Atom "title" element for the user's display name, with a link rel="alternate" serving as the URL, and defer further Person metadata to a later, external spec.
This is the minimum necessary metadata to create the sentence "Martin Atkins is now friends with David Recordon", with links on each of the names.
