Typed Collections?
Reported by Martin Atkins | January 10th, 2009 @ 01:47 PM
Currently we don't say much about where things are being posted.
If I include an atom:source element with the title "Martin's Weblog", then an aggregator could say "Martin posted an article in Martin's Weblog".
Do we want to define a collection-level type so that "Martin's Weblog" can be defined to be a weblog in a machine-readable way?
This would allow aggregators to say "Martin posted an article in a weblog: Martin's Weblog", or "Martin posted a photo in 'Pictures of My Cat'".
On the other hand, it adds a third axis on which messages can vary, creating even more of a combinatorial explosion than we already have.
